- Please navigate to C:\VDC-Local\Pipe_DB\Pipe_Prod\main database\profiles on the database administrator's VDC Device
- Locate the profiles.map and the job profile in question
- Copy these files to a New Folder
- Navigate to the VDC Sync Pipe_Prod Database within the VDC Sync Sharepoint. (https://jwdanforth.sharepoint.com/:f:/r/sites/VDCSync/Shared%20Documents/Pipe_DB/Pipe_Prod/main%20database/profiles?d=w211d060c17ab49c28f99f6b3cd1abcca&csf=1&web=1&e=fI99Xr)
- Any changes made to this directory will live sync to EVERY vdc operator and user that is syncing the sharepoint data.
- While we do have file versioning enabled and can restore files/folders, please be careful while editing this directory.
- Within VDC Sync (SharePoint), Upload the profiles.map to the root of the main database\profiles directory
- You will be prompted if you want to replace the file -> Ensure that you click "replace" and wait until SharePoint confirms the file has been replaced.
- If the profiles.map file is not updated at the time that the job profile is updated, then Autodesk apps will be unable to see the profile/changes that were made and the database administraotr MUST recreate the service updates they have performed.
- Again, Profiles.Map must be replaced every time. Do not proceed without this having been done.
- Navigate to the job #/profile and upload the support files that need to be updated.
- This is typically only the service.map file but occasionally Kyle will have an additional file or two that may need to be updated within the profile. (Specific support files are on a case-by-case basis).
- Again, you will be prompted if you want to replace the file -> Ensure that you click "replace" and wait until SharePoint confirms the file has been replaced.
- Once this is complete and the changes have synced to the end users' OneDrive, the end user can then utilize the VDC Sync utility to sync the new changes from SharePoint to their VDC Local copy of the database.
Please Note: None of this applies to the Sheet Metal Database (SM_Prod) as service updates are handled within the Revit file themselves and come through when the project is updated in ACC.
